You stay on top of the water

Where you will ride

Alamitos Bay is flat and protected, so it stays calm even when the ocean is not. The sandy beach along Alamitos Peninsula runs beside most of the route, on the way out and again on the way back, so you can stop ten minutes in or keep going and find a quieter spot. The Naples canals are the bigger trip, about two miles round trip, which fits an hour only if you sprint. Book the two hour ride for those.
